WeatherXM D1 Wi-Fi
The straightforward choice when reliable Wi-Fi is available. All-in-one outdoor sensing paired with an indoor gateway that connects to your local network.
The D1 is designed for residential properties, schools, small businesses, and any site where the outdoor sensor array can communicate with an indoor gateway that has access to Wi-Fi. It measures the full standard suite of meteorological parameters and delivers data to the WeatherXM network and your local devices.
System Architecture
How D1 Works
A dedicated sub-GHz RF link bridges outdoor sensors to the indoor gateway, protecting Wi-Fi range and indoor wall penetration.
Outdoor sensor array
Solar-powered, all-in-one unit mounts on a pole or roof. Measures temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, wind speed and direction, solar radiation, UV index, and precipitation.
Sub-GHz RF Link
The outdoor sensor transmits observations to the indoor gateway using low-power sub-GHz radio frequency, providing reliable range through exterior building materials.
Indoor gateway
Plugs into power indoors and connects to your local Wi-Fi network. Receives sensor data, displays local status, and forwards observations to the WeatherXM network.
Data delivery
Observations appear in the WeatherXM mobile app, on Explorer, and are accessible via the WeatherXM Pro REST API and local gateway diagnostic endpoints.

Identical sensing hardware, build quality, and durability. Choose whether to contribute to the global network or operate independently.
D1 Network Edition
Lower-priced edition for stations contributing observations under WeatherXM Network rules. Reward eligibility depends on the applicable Network rules and contribution quality.
